ING Direct savings rates up to 4.00%

ING has announced that the interest rate paid on their savings accounts will be moving from 3.80% to 4.00%. While it doesn’t quite compare to the 4.80% and 4.50% at Emigrant and HSBC, it is good to see those rates rise.

UPDATE: ING has raised it’s rates yet again to 4.15 percent now.  Still not quite comparable with HSBC or Emigrant, but less fees and such so it could be a smart move.
