As we close on the seventh month of A Penny Saved, I thought I’d share the top 5 articles on the site. It’s been a fun first half of the year with plenty instore.
This post was an announcement of a challenge by the folks at Squawk Box. I actually don’t know why this was so popular except that it was one of the first articles on the subject and got a lot of traffic from the search engines. The Challenge is over btw.
This post was a article on the information that my wife and I gathered while figuring out our taxes the first year that we were married. It’s one of my favorite articles as well and received a lot of traffic from the search engines around tax season.
This is post one of ten in a series based upon a similar series at MSN Money. It had a special appeal for me as my wife and I were expecting our first child at the time. We haven’t made any of those mistakes just yet.

This is of course the first post here at A Penny Saved. Oddly enough, it didn’t make it’s debut on the favorite posts until about 4 months after A Penny Saved came online.
This was an update on my progress in the portfolio challenge from the first article. I believe the popularity of the first post carried over onto this post and that is why it appears here.
