Bartender gets $10,000 tip, still needs money tips
A bartender at a Applebees received a $10,000 tip from a regular customer. Wow, what would you do with a $10,000 tip? I can tell you what I would do. I’d pay off about 8,000 worth of debt. Then I’d put about 1500 into savings and spend the last 500. Not this money saavy bartender.(that’s called sarcasm)
I’d like to take care of my parents, since they always took care of me,” she said. “But I feel like he wanted me to buy something for myself, and there’s a Jeep that I’ve had my eye on for a while.
I’m gonna go out on a limb here and perpetuate a long-standing stereotype. If you’re tending bar at an Applebees, chances are you aren’t doing it for the fun of it. Chances are you’re doing it because you need the money. You probably have debt, school loans, etc… that need to be paid. Think of all the fun you could have or the car payment you could make if you got rid of some of that debt. Take $8000, pay off some debt. Take the other $2000 and put it down on the Jeep. Use the saved payments on the debt to pay the insurance and the payment on the Jeep. Now, instead of being further in debt, you’ve kept things equal. Well, you’ve essentially extended the debt a little, but your payments are the same and you have some collateral for some of the debt which would no doubt save you interest.
It’s a wonder there aren’t more millionaires in this country. (more sarcasm)
