A Penny Saved

A plethora of Financial Market data. That is how I would describe my latest paid review, Finance Markets. Upon first loading, the reader is whacked over the head with an abundance of news items. In fact, my first complaint is that there is just too much on the front page. Too much scrolling makes my finger tired and I don’t get too far into your page.

The other thing you will notice is that the site is pretty well designed. It’s a pretty generic layout and template that has been modified and prettied up for it’s purpose. It’s got some nice JavaScript working on the menus and the color scheme is easy on the eyes. Again, the layout could be improved by a little bit easier font layout. I would guess a little larger font and a little more spacing between the lines would lend for a more pleasant reading experience.

The bones of the site, the content is abundant. The news section seems to go on forever while they also have a rather decent forum with about 300 members and a blog that seems to be updated rather frequently. Many times with several posts on the same day. Whomever runs the site should be fairly proud of it as it would seem that they’ve developed a nice niche community that is still on the grow.

Overall, I would give this site a bout 3.5 stars out of 5. It’s a site that I would recommend if I were into the financial markets in as much depth as they go. If you are looking for somewhere to find some pretty in depth financial market information, you might stop on over and give them a look. One caveat. They are in the UK, so some of the information might be skewed in that way. I didn’t personally see much evidence of that, but be aware.
