Money or Stuff

Every day you make financial choices - all of which can have a direct impact on your financial health today and in the future. They may not seem important at the time, but they are. The question you must learn to ask yourself before you buy anything is simple - Do I want money or stuff? Which one matters more to me?

For example - you’re looking at a big screen TV. By the time you add up the TV, TV stand, cables, and home theater system, you’re probably looking at $3,000. Before you swipe your credit card, ask if you’d rather have the money or the stuff. You’d be surprised how often you’ll rethink your purchase, and hang onto your cash. Simple things can make a big difference in how you sit financially.

Imagine, if you will, a big pile of money next to the thing you want to buy. Make sure to always think, and ask the question - what do you want more - the money or the stuff?
