A Penny Saved gets it’s first Penny
Ever since before I was around, the logo here at A Penny Saved was a portrait of our good friend Ben Franklin, of the $100 bill fame. While a good guy all around, Ben didn’t really fit in with the title of the site. After all, it’s not called “A Hundred Saved”, is it?
With that in mind, I finally took it upon myself to replace Ben with Honest Abe. You know, that guy who’s on the penny. Now you’ll see Abe in the header, as well as up in your toolbar, and next to your bookmark listing. ( You do have A Penny Saved bookmarked right? )
A big change? Nope. But I think it fits the sit a lot better. Now new readers won’t be confused by the title / logo disparity. Besides, I think the penny looks nicer anyway - even if I’d rather have the hundred.
