Are you a thankful person? Or do you get resentful for what you don’t have? It is easy to get ungrateful for what we do not have, instead of being grateful for what we do. It is an easy temptation to fall into. Thankfulness is not based on how much stuff we have, but rather it is our attitude toward life.
Maybe we need to stop and make a list of everything we own (it not only helps us be grateful, it’s a good thing to keep a record for insurance purposes anyway!), list all our friends, all the good things that have come our way. Remembering helps us to be thankful.
“In everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus” (Bible, 1 Thessalonians 5:18). Have a thanksgiving day today! And everyday.
