Sad Day
My brother in law, who has been battling pancreatic cancer for several years, has been told he has 6 weeks to live. Hospice is involved now and they are doing the best they can to manage his pain. My mother-in-law is taking this very hard. Mothers should not have to watch their children die.
What has struck me the most is how when we go through life our world slowly expands when we are born and then it slowly contracts until we die. When we are born - our life revolves around a cradle and our mother. As we grow older, our world slowly shrinks again as we move from houses to rooms, to beds. We start out just needing blankets and our loved ones to care for us, and then we grow older ending up needing blankets and loved ones to care for us.
It is on days like these that faith in God is so important.
Thanks for reading and letting me ramble about non-finances.

My brother-in-law died at the age of 24 from colon cancer. Illness and death really shake up our priorities. It is all so out of our control.
You have my sincerest sympathy.

So very sad to read this. I have a close family member battling cancer. The outcome is expected to be better, but no matter what, this makes you realize how fragile life is. Make the most of the time you have left, it will mean so much to your brother-in-law and everybody else in the family.
