Many people say they have strong convictions, that they really believe in something, whether it’s the environment, children, religion, politics, etc. I once had a pastor friend tell me that you can tell what someone really believes in by “looking at their checkbook and their calendar”.
In other words, you may say you believe in something, but how you spend your money and how you spend your time really tells what you believe in. So what does our checkbook and calendar tell about us? Do we live like we believe?
“Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added to you.” Matthew 6:33
“Instruct them to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share, storing up for themselves the treasure of a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is life indeed.” 1 Timothy 6:18-19
