Using set goals and tracking progress, this blogger is certainly on the right track. It makes it almost fun to watch along. Posting is at a max, usually at least one a day and sometimes more. Of course, sacrifices are made in length of posts and original content with a schedule like that, but PFBlog is obviously doing well. The chicklet for feedburner shows just over 1000 subscribers. That make this blog one of the most popular on the block!

Take a gander at PFBlog and maybe add it to your reading list.

Coach Coin is a member-blog in the pfblog.com network of blogs. Coach Coin’s posts stay on the personal finance topic and are usually short but well written. The major downfall to this blog is the extreme lack of consistent posting. Only 6 posts so far in July, no posts in June and only 3 in May. He started off strong in November of 2005 with 23, but has only broken 10 posts once since then with February and March having a combined total of 3.

While there are some nuggets in his posts, the lack of posting makes the blog seem inactive. Most visitors will most likely shy away and not come back.

Thank heaven, we finally found a blog with a somewhat custom design. And it looks good. Kate (I’m assuming since there is no About page) seems to post about everyother day or so adding up to about 3-4 posts a week. Nearly all of her posts are finance related and seem to be pointed at the under 30, college age crowd.

All of the posts are well written and contain great advice and commentary. I’m adding her to my reading list. You should take a visit and think about doing the same.

Welcome to this weeks Random Sunday PFBlog Review. This week we are headed over to My Financial Journey. I must admit that generally, when I am doing these reviews, if the blog appears to be inactive I just skip over it. I’m not doing that this week. Here’s why. I’ve read My Financial Journey before and the author is actually a pretty good writer. The blog had a lot of potential but somewhere along the lines, either the owner got a little bored with it, too busy, or a combination of a whole lot of things.

Bottom line is this: The blog is now stagnant. There aren’t a whole lot of archives available, but what is there is certainly readable.

If the owner of My Financial Journey is reading this, come back. Rejoin the pfblog community. Even if you’re only posting 4-5 times a month, you’re adding something to the community.

We’ll go back to active blogs next week. I promise.

If you’re a little dissapointed by the inactive blog this week, take a waltz down the previous reviews. They were all active at the time or the review and I think that they all still are.

SGHIS has a lot of content on Frugality and saving money. Post range from short to long and even have a few that are really long. The posting frequency is about right at about one per work day. Not too many, but not too few. The writing is fairly informal, but always easy to understand. Looks like he’s got some sound ideas about saving for retirement and the future. Hop on over and take a look.

Welcome to another Sunday Random PFBlog Review. Today we’ll take a look at mjrube94′s blog. According to the very short little bit on the right hand side, mjrube is a married mom of 2 living in New Jersey. The blog has been around since March of 2005 and has 317 posts. Not bad at all. Nearly one a day.

This blog, like so many others, still has the kubrik default theme. There are plenty of other themes that can give your blog a little more personalized feel. The posts within are certainly personalized however. All with a great no-nonsense bent that gives you the facts. The content of the posts is very personal finance and frugality based and as such can be a great read for those that want to learn more about those subjects.

I don’t think I’ll be adding it to my reading list, but I strongly suggest that you go and check it out. It really is a well done blog.

If you want to peruse other pfblogs I’ve reviewed, they can be found here. Also, if you want to put up a link back to your review, that’s always welcome.

The posts are all very personal finance related and well thought out and written. His posting frequencey is not any better or worse than mine, which is to say that he posts about 3-4 posts a week. Sometimes more, sometimes less. The design of the blog is ho-hum. No customization that I could find and maybe thats because of the iblogs service that he’s using. I dunno. Overall, the blog is well done and certainly worth reading.

I’ll be adding it to my feedreader for sure.

Begun as a purely atheist blog, Frank has expanded into the personal finance realm as well. If your a first time visitor, he has a wonderful guide to help you get aquainted with his writings. The blog has a very standard blogspot template and is monetized in a way that is unobtrusive. His readability is good and most of his posts seem to come in a conversational tone which makes it almost fun to read. The posts themselves seem to be about equal parts atheist and financial posts. Frank seems to know quite a bit about both topics.

If you’ve never visited Frank the FSA, please stop in on him and take a look. You just might find something to read.
